How to count 30 days from today

Start from today’s date and add 30 calendar days. Today is day 0, tomorrow is day 1, and the 30th day after today is your answer. Because months have 28, 29, 30 or 31 days, “30 days from today” is not always the same day number next month:

  • In a 31-day month, 30 days later lands one day before the same date next month (March 1 → March 31).
  • In a 30-day month, it lands on the same date next month (April 10 → May 10).
  • In February (28 days), it lands two days after the same date in March (Feb 10 → March 12), or one day after in a leap year.

Tip: “30 days” and “1 month” are not the same. A contract that says “within 30 days” ends on a specific day count, while “within one month” usually ends on the same date next month.

30 calendar days vs 30 business days

Calendar days count every day, including weekends and holidays. Business days count only Monday to Friday. Thirty business days is about six weeks of calendar time, so the difference matters for deadlines like refunds, shipping, government processing times or payment terms. Switch the calculator to Business days to see the exact date.

This calculator skips weekends only. Statutory holidays (for example Canada Day or Thanksgiving) vary by province and employer, so add one day for each holiday that falls in your period.
